Api Xenios has recently joined our team here at Legado, so we asked him to tell us a little bit about himself:

Tell us about what you did before joining Legado?

I started my career as Merchant Marine Engineer, after years I moved into Consultancy for Maritime Companies. During my involvement with Maritime Industries, I had the privilege to visit so many places around the world and work within multicultural environments that help me with my professional and personal development.

Soon I developed a passion for Software Engineering and decided to make a career change. I am fascinated by the concept of Software Engineering and the Internet of Things; I enjoy the complexity, scientific and artistic aspect of these areas!

So, for the past few years, I have been working as Software Developer within Microsoft Stack, building and maintaining enterprise applications.

What excites you about working for Legado?

The product and the people! I believe the product has strong potential and it is a very good example of how a software application can be a useful tool in our lives!

From a technical perspective, I am excited about the technology utilization! Legado applies top-notch technologies to provide services with security and quality be the main focus of the development team.

Legado is a growing team that consists of a group of people that have a positive and can-do philosophy which I believe is a key for a success story!

What will be the biggest challenges?

An early-stage for me would be to familiarize myself with every aspect of the application. As this is a complex application that utilizes a range of technologies, getting familiar with every aspect will be my first priority. In long term, as security and quality are very important, there is a necessity to keep up to date with the latest trends. IT is a fast-paced industry and when it comes to security, we need to ensure that our solution is in line with the latest guidelines.

What will you be working on?

I will be part of the development team and I am looking forward to getting involved with transforming business requirements into technical solutions.

What do you do to relax?

I enjoy my long walks with my two Border Collies, Mario and Luigi (yes, named after the retro game!). I am an outdoor-oriented person so, I enjoy hiking, traveling and spending as much time as possible by the sea!

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself

That’s a really tough question! So, I am going to tell you the first couple of things that come to my mind! I am always in the mood for a slice of pastitsio (a Greek dish), and cinnamon-flavored jelly beans need some more love!

Welcome to the team, Api!
