A few weeks ago, Chris joined our team as a Junior Software Tester. Chris came to Legado with an extensive background of systems testing, having been responsible for carrying out tests on smart devices and drafting documentation for FDA audits. We asked him to tell you a little bit about himself:

What excites you about working for Legado?

The thing that excites me the most about working for Legado is the prospect of being part of a great company with a fast-growing, talented team; working on a product that places data, as well as its secure storage and transfer, at its core. It’s also going to be extremely exciting getting to grips with new testing techniques and technologies.

What will be the biggest challenges?

After completing my MSc in Computer Science at Newcastle University, I started my testing career in systems and acceptance testing in a regulated environment. One of the challenges I anticipate is making the transition from high-level testing to more technical and low-level testing, all the while maintaining the high standards set by the team and the company.

What will you be working on?

I am really excited to have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and varied testing role that will see me involved in both manual and automated UI and API testing.

What do you do to relax?

Besides the usual Netflix, gaming, and travelling, I love to spend time with my 2-year-old whether it be at the zoo, beach, or just strolling around a park.

What is something that you are particularly good at (that people may not know)?

I speak fluent Mandarin (C1) with a North-Eastern Chinese accent.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself…

When I turned 19 (many years ago), I travelled to China as part of my gap year. However, I ended up staying in the country for a few years during which time I ultimately enrolled in a local university and studied toward the HSK language exams. The place I lived, Harbin, reaches temperatures of –30 degrees Celsius!!

Welcome to the team, Chris!
